Follow Up With Bree

I had the pleasure of interviewing Bree again to hear about their biggest updates! Check out Bree's original story here: https://www.projectwhy.biz/post/_bree.

Bree is finally housed and they moved in with their best friend's sibling and partner. Bree says that one of their biggest challenges with being newly housed is maintaining housing while balancing medical costs with rent and utilities. They have had to make a lot of sacrifices for their health to continue living in the home. Bree can no longer walk for long periods and is trying to build their strength at home. Bree has also learned a lot more about their medical diagnoses and necessary procedures to stay healthy. Fortunately, Bree has found a rheumatologist who has listened to all of Bree's symptoms and given them the proper autoimmune disease tests. This testing has been extremely expensive, costing over $3,000 to diagnose Bree. They continue to crowdfund as much as possible in order to cover these costs. These tests diagnosed Bree with Sjögren's syndrome, inflammatory arthritis, as well as fibromyalgia. Bree's medicine treatments have helped a lot and they are continuing to push through any adversities that come their way.

This is another amazing and tragic and hopeful story about the individuals who find themselves homeless, and the difficult road to recovery. ProjectWHY does amazing work giving these individuals a forum to tell their story and be heard.
